Ok, this is not really an information policy issue, it's more of a library facility policy issue, but that's close enough. I just went to Strozier (to get books for this class, I swear), which seems to be on a quest to provide an endless supply of what-not-to-do stories. They have switched the location of check out to the Information Desk at the entrance. The old check out desk is now just for returns.
That's right, folks. You check OUT books at the entrance and you check IN books at the exit. Perfectly intuitive.
And of course, there are NO signs indicating they have made this switch. Sigh.
